The colorful installations at the Gillman Barracks | Of the beaten track in Singapore.

When was the last time you went to an art museum?. I like to paint using acrylic once in a while and I definitely love to visit art expositions and art museums in my free time.

Here are some photos of my visit to the colorful installations at the Gillman Barracks contemporary art center. Set in a previous military sleeping enclosure going back to 1936 and surrounded by rich tropical greenery. I enjoyed the local and International art exhibitions. Unfortunately I was there during  Chinese new year and most of the indoor installations were closed. Nevertheless there were several exhibitions in the open air, I loved the ambience, I did not get the chance to try the restaurant but it must be nice to have a drink while watching the fabulous art. I definitely have to come back.

  1. Beautiful photos Angela. Its nice to see a touch of colour on the old military enclosure. I don’t think I’ve seen much exhibitions taken outside so this is quite a breath of fresh air.

    • Thank you Sarah, I think that it brings life to a place that otherwise would be probably abandoned. It is also a great way to give space to artists to display their art.
