The beauty of Bali | what I wore, featuring Tobi.
When I think of Bali I automatically think of beaches and palm trees, but Bali has much more to offer. If you leave the touristy comfort zone, and you are willing to cross Bali from south to north, you will find beautiful rice and coffee fields, mountains and lakes.
The ride along winding paths seemed to be interminable, we left behind advertising billboards, food stalls and we even saw three riders on a motorcycle, mom, dad, and son in the middle, all without a helmet.
The famous and expensive Luwak coffee is produced here and there are several stalls offering guided tours and coffee tasting. But I preferred to make a stop to admire the lakes.
The mountain air does me a world of good, it is cool and the sky is cloudy and nostalgic.
Lakes have a turquoise color and are nestled in the mountains. Mountains and volcanoes are sacred because Balinese believe that it is the place where the good spirits live; at the other hand, Balinese believe that bad spirits live in the sea. I have to admit that the mountains are imposing to look at.
After a short stop, we drove through a field of flowers. There was a truck parked at the side of the road carrying beautiful hydrangeas. The flowers caught the attention of my husband who had the nice gesture of buying me a bouquet.
As we were descending the mountains (after four hours traveling), we could see the sea.
The quiet fishing village of Lovina was waiting for us; the sea was so calm that it looked like a lake, there were only a few tourists around. The sea water was warm and our Villa at the sea was beautiful. Finally, our holidays can begin!
Interesting fact: The name Lovina itself derived from the word “Love” and “Ina” Indonesia.
In these photos, I am wearing and styling three beautiful Tobi dresses, you can visit their Tobi online shop here.
I hope you like it. Have you ever been in Bali? Let me know your thoughts.
I was so happy at the market in Bali because I found my favorite fruit, the sweet Granadilla, a member of the passion fruit family, the last time I ate it was in Perú. Don’t you love to try new kinds of fruit during your travels?⠀ 👗 @shoptobi Feliz de haber encontrado granadilla en el mercado, la ultima vez que la comí fué en Perú. No te encanta probar frutas exoticas cuando viajas?⠀ ⠀ ⠀ *⠀ *⠀ *⠀ #travelstoke #darlingescapes #travelgirl #femmetravel #indonesia #travelphotography #travelpic #passionpassport #neverstopexploring #travelphotography #travelerphoto #instatravel #instapassport #travelgram #igtravel #babeswhowander #LoveToTravel #traveldeeper #traveladdict #bali #TravelDiary #ViewFromTheTop #SimplyAdventure #ABMTravelbug #FlashesofDelight #WheretoFindMe #MyTinyAtlas
